Matthew Danforth is a New York based singer and actor. Born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Matthew grew up playing football until his music teacher suggested that he take up the cello and audition for the school musical, Into the Woods.

Never one to pass up a new experience, he agreed and immediately fell in love with performing. Looking to strengthen his newfound passion, Matthew attended the pre-college vocal program at The Juilliard School. The classical training that he received there not only enhanced his baritone voice but strengthened his confidence as a singer.

Most recently, Matthew has received his BFA in Musical Theater at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he has continued to hone his skills as a performer.

Some of Matthew’s favorite credits include: Horton the Elephant in Seussical, Professor Bhaer in Little Women, and Eddie in The Wild Party.

When not performing, Matthew can be found with his nose in a comic book. He is an avid Marvel fan, a lover of the American SongBook, and popcorn at the movies!
